
The UK House of Commons will start serving halal and kosher meals from March 30 – on a trial basis.

The decision goes back to the initiative of Jewish Labour MP Charlotte Nicols and Muslim Labour MP Zarah Sultana. According to The National, the House of Commons currently has 19 Muslim MPs.
The new offer will be run on a trial basis for three months. If there is sufficient demand, the hot meals and sandwiches will always be offered.
The British parliament consists of two chambers: House of Commons and House of Lords.
