KUALA LUMPUR, 20th JULY 2026 – DagangHalal.com, the operator of the world’s largest Halal-verified business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace, has strengthened Malaysia’s presence at MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026 through its appointment by Comasia Limited as the exhibition’s Strategic Sales Partner for Malaysia, China and Japan, with responsibility for exhibitor recruitment, international buyer outreach and regional business development.
The three-day exhibition, held from 15 to 17 July 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, brought together halal manufacturers, exporters, buyers, distributors and business partners from across ASEAN and international markets.
Malaysia was represented by 24 exhibitors, presenting products and capabilities across food and beverage, wellness and health, beauty and personal care, and other halal consumer segments. Their participation provided a direct platform to assess market demand, engage potential distributors and explore longer-term commercial partnerships in Thailand and the wider region.
The opening ceremony was jointly officiated by Thailand’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, and His Highness Prince Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj, who also delivered an address at the event.
The Prime Minister delivered a keynote under the theme “HALAL CONNECT: From Local Trust to Global Trade”, reflecting Thailand’s ambition to strengthen its role as a regional gateway for halal products, international sourcing and cross-border commerce.
Following the official opening, H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Thailand, met with the Malaysian exhibitors to learn more about their products, market ambitions and efforts to build stronger commercial relationships in Thailand and across ASEAN.
During the engagement, the Ambassador reaffirmed Malaysia’s position as a trusted halal sourcing and manufacturing hub. He also highlighted Thailand’s importance as one of Malaysia’s key economic partners, particularly in halal-industry development, food production and integrated regional supply chains.
Malaysia’s participation complements the country’s wider export-development agenda led by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), including its efforts to connect Malaysian exporters with international buyers through trade exhibitions, sourcing programmes and market-access initiatives.
In a statement, the Company said, “MEGA HALAL Bangkok gives Malaysian companies a direct opportunity to meet buyers, distributors and trade partners from across the region. Our role is not limited to bringing companies to the exhibition. We are helping them present their products, understand buyer requirements and develop relationships that can continue after the event.
Thailand is an important market in its own right and also provides access to wider ASEAN opportunities. By combining physical trade engagement with DagangHalal’s digital marketplace and compliance capabilities, we aim to help more manufacturers build a structured path towards regional expansion.”
According to the organisers, the co-located MEGA HALAL Bangkok and MEGA SHOW Bangkok 2026 exhibitions featured more than 1,200 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions across over 1,300 booths. The combined events were expected to welcome more than 20,000 buyers and business visitors from over 70 markets, supported by a targeted programme of more than 1,200 business-matching meetings.
DagangHalal also used the exhibition to introduce manufacturers and exporters to its Halal Internal Assurance System, or HIAS. The cloud-based platform is designed to help businesses centralise halal and food-safety documentation, manage audit activities and corrective actions, monitor certificate validity and improve traceability.
