KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) — Halal Industry Development Corp (HDC) on Monday unveiled its new logo that signifies its drive towards enhancing corporate and business strategies.

Its chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Jamil Bidin, said the rebranding exercise was to benefit stakeholders both in Malaysian and overseas markets.

“The transition from our previous corporate colours of blue and orange reflects the growing sophistication, value and reach of the worldwide halal industry and HDC’s role in building Malaysia as a global hub for standard halal products and services,” he told Bernama Monday.

He said the gold colour logo symbolises optimism, strength and balance and the application of wisdom and knowledge in creating and distributing wealth.

“The particular tone of gold used also relates to the physical world of sunshine, golden harvests and abundant natural resources which contribute to Malaysia’s and HDC’s halal leadership,” he said.

The white HDC name connotes purity of the halal offer and the integrity and openess which is inherent within our organisation, he said.

Jamil said the new corporate image and identity would continue to encourage HDC to move towards greater achievements and contribute to the growth of the country in line with the government transformation programme and the New Economic Model.

He said HDC strived to ensure the comprehensive and orderly development of the halal industry.

“We hope this noble initiative prospers in the spirit of bringing halal benefits to the world.”
