KARACHI: Halal is a Trillion dollar industry, it is a readymade market with an exciting demand from over 1.9 billion Muslim customers from all around the world. The Halal umbrella covers everything from food ingredients, all type of beverages, cosmetics & beauty products, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and nutrition and a host of Islamic services including, banking & takaful etc. The Halal Development Project (HDP) and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) have arranged a presentation on ‘Brand Halal’. This presentation would be at KCCI on 12th October 2009 at 3:30 PM. The session is open to all businessmen to brief them about the potential in Global Halal Market and the opportunities available for Pakistani companies to boost their exports by using the ‘Brand Halal’ label on their products.-RT
