Relaunch of the event with a new brand name and logo – proven concept remains the same

For its 3rd edition, World of Food Beijing is developing a new brand presence: in future the largest industry platform for food in northern China will take place under the name ANUFOOD China. In the process, the clear message of the organisers, Koelnmesse and the China Chamber of Foodstuff and Native Produce (CFNA), is as follows: further development of the proven event concept supported by a new look. Due to the constantly increasing number of exhibitors and visitors participating, the event will also take place for the first time from 16 to 18 November 2016 in the highly modern China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.
Taking the leading global trade fair Anuga, which takes place every two years in Cologne, as its example, ANUFOOD China wants to expand upon its position as the leading business platform for the northern Chinese food market with its new brand presence and establish additional synergies with the other food events of Koelnmesse. ANUFOOD China not only offers an overview of the Chinese food sector, but depicts the entire industry in all its diversity from fine food, frozen foods, meat and dairy products, chilled and fresh foods to bread, baked goods, sweets, beverages, organic foods to services & RetailTec. Major figures in the industry such as German Meat, Export-Union fur Milchprodukte e.V., GmbH Paulaner, Katjes, Tetrapak, Hazelnut Promotion, United Dutch Breweries have exhibited recently. The trade visitors come from the most diverse areas of the food economy: importers, distributors, wholesalers, classic retail, E-commerce or catering. ANUFOOD China takes place anually, parallel with the events China International Dairy Expo 2016 by CFNA and China International Catering & Food Expo 2016 by CCA. ANUFOOD China 2016 will also for the first time present an international vending zone.
The relaunch of ANUFOOD China should additionally promote the steady growth of the event. In 2014, for the premiere, 542 exhibiting companies from 26 countries and 21,400 trade visitors from 11 nations participated. One year later it was already 607 exhibitors from 34 countries and more than 32,200 trade visitors from 40 nations, whereby the foreign share of exhibitors and visitors increased proportionally. For the event in November 2016, the organisers anticipate more than 700 companies and around 25,000 trade visitors.
For the first time, a partner nation concept is being realised in the framework of ANUFOOD China, in which the exhibitors of a selected nation present themselves and their range of products and services in a special form. In the course of the progressive liberalisation of the Chinese market for imports, especially in the food sector, and the simultaneously increasing number of trade agreements between China and Western nations, the idea of acting as a partner nation is especially interesting for economic promotion institutions in the respective countries with respect to promoting products from their own markets in China over the long term. The first partner nation of ANUFOOD China 2016 is Poland. Already in advance of the event, Polish specialities and Polish cuisine is being presented in China through all media channels. In addition to the partner nation Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Korea, among others, will also be presenting themselves in representative national pavilions.
