
World Halal Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will take place on 6 October as a hybrid edition.
Halal Development Corporation (HDC) will forge ahead with its 12th World Halal Conference 2020 (WHC2020) via hybrid both virtually and physical event on October 6, 2020 in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to its Chief Executive Officer, Hairol Ariffein Sahari, the recent global pandemic has led to consumers shifting towards cleanliness, hygiene and healthy, synonymizing with halalan toyiban, an integral backbone to the halal industry.
“These unfolding of “new normal” in the way the market operates currently is in line with WHC2020 theme of halal community driving the New World Economy, where market changes were brought about by the community and simultaneously pulling forward the New World Economy.”
“And the demand for hygiene and clean products is expected to rise further in the coming days as the result of the growing awareness among consumers,” he went on to say.
