ALOR SETAR: Hadhari Cattle Sdn Bhd will sell fresh beef 50 sen cheaper at RM15.50 per kilo for 10 days from today, in conjunction with the Hari Raya festive.
“The price of the meat will however revert to RM16.00 per kilo after the festival,” said the senior vice-president, Kumpulan Hadhari Agro Holdings Sdn Bhd, Dr Abdul Rashid Tang Abdullah to Bernama today.
The company imported 2,000 heads of cattle from Thailand which will be slaughtered at its abbattoir in Paya Pahlawan, Jitra, Kedah, for distribution to Carrefour, Mydin, Giant and Tesco hypermarkets throughout the country.
“The beef is halal, slaughtered hygienically and vacuum-packed according to stringent processes to ensure quality.”
Dr Abdul Rashid said the meat supplied by the company has a shelf-life of six months. – BERNAMA
