KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) — Red Bull has edged out rivals to become the number one energy drink in Malaysia, with a 40 per cent market share within its category.
Red Bull has been at the top of the list within the energy drink category for the last decade, with an average increase in market share of 75 per cent over the last three years.
“The recent findings by the Nielsen Company’s research, further validates Red Bull’s success in its category,” Red Bull Malaysia said in a statement here Tuesday.
Red Bull was first introduced into the Malaysian market in 1993 and has a halal certification. It comes in three versions, namely, Red Bull bottle (150 ml), Red Bull 25 per cent less sugar (250 ml) and Red Bull gold(250 ml).
