KUALA LUMPUR, Dec.22, 2010 (News Agencies)– . Malaysia is promoting its halal standards for other countries even as it tries to crack down on fraud on the home front. More recently Malaysian companies have gone into the subfield of offering consultancy services to to other countries who want to export their halal products to Malaysia. According to a New York Times report MasterMalaysia Global is now in talks with Chinese companies in Henan Province about how they can help suppliers produce beef, chicken and mutton that meets Malaysian halal standards. The ultimate aim is to help the Chinese producers obtain halal accreditation from the Malaysian authorities. MasterMalaysia would then help distribute the meat in China, and hopes to eventually help the companies export to Malaysia. MasterMalaysia Global will initially only work with meat suppliers, but hopes to eventually source raw materials from China to use in the production of halal cosmetics and pharmaceuticals in Malaysia
