Malaysia Calls For Additional Halal Industry Effort

Md Shah Amin, Deputy President of Malaysian Islam Chambers of Commerce (MICC) said, additional efforts should be taken to increase Muslim entrepreneurs producing and marketing Halal food. He said it was a challenge faced by the Muslim business community to Malaysia Star. The challenge lies in increasing Muslim entrepreneurs in the Halal food business. According to him, it should be seen as jihad in business. There is huge potential for marketing Halal products globally. His added that Halal products not only covered food but included cosmetics, plus daily essential goods and services such as hotels, logistics and banking.
