Event Overview
The first Halal road show for the year 2013 held in the northern state of Peninsular Malaysia which is Kedah Darul Aman. The carnival was organized by Malaysia Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM) and Kedah Islamic Affairs Department (Jabatan Halal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Kedah). Kedah Halal Carnival 2013 was officiated by YB Mejar General Dato’ Seri Jamil Khir Bin Haji Baharom (B) on 15 March 2013 (Friday).
More than 90 exhibitors from various Halal products manufacturers and Halal service providers took part in this event which started from 14 – 16 March 2013 from 9.00am – 10.00pm at car park area of Amanjaya Mall, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Only JAKIM / JHEAIK / MAIN Halal certified entrepreneurs or Muslim own companies were eligible to exhibit.

DagangHalal Booth Activity
DagangHalal occupied a 6m x 6m booth no 6. We organized few activities in our booth also at the main stage to attract visitors. The activities were:
– Cepat Jawab ( Quiz )
– Gali Logo Halal ( Halal Logo Digging )
– Jualan Murah @RM1 (RM1 Sale)
– Tahaju’ah Contest (Spelling Contest)
These activities organized to educate public and increase their awareness towards the halal logo which had been standardised by JAKIM nationwide. With the collaboration with Jabatan Hal Ehwal Islam Kedah (JHEAIK), we also provided the Halal Clinic for the public to enquiry on the process to apply halal certificate using e-Halal system. One of the most attractive activities would be the “Jualan Murah @RM1″ where we gave away the Halal products which sponsored by our exhibitors worth of RM100 and sold it at RM1. Thanks to our sponsors, Lee Biscuits, Yakult, CCM, Miaow Miaow, Laras Marketing, Muslimah Manufacturing, Takaful Ikhlas, AJV Velastar, Cosmoderm, Snek Ku, HR Marketing, Shurah, Tabung Haji, and Busana Al- Waqiah. We collected RM650 from the Jualan Murah@RM1 goodies bag selling and the collected money was contributed to Tabung Lahad Datu through Panglima 6 Briged, Big. Jeneral Datul Zulkapli Rahamat.

Tahaju’ah Contest was held to enrich the students’ vocabulary spelling in Arabic and English. There were 49 participants from 11 local primary schools in Sungai Petani participated in this contest. The winner for the 1st prize won by Nur Aina Syathirah Bt Mohamad (Sek. Keb Sungai Petani), 2nd prize winner won by Khairul Irfan bin Khairunizam (Sek. Keb Ibrahim) and 3rd prize winner was Nurul Fatihah bt Shafiee (Sek. Keb. Bandar Baru Sungai Lalang). The prizes were sponsored by DagangHalal, Tabung Haji, Cinta Sayang Resort, and Takaful Ikhlas.
