Hong Kong, 5 March 2013, today, there are about 1.016 billion Internet users across Asia-Pacific, and 623 million people who use mobile devices to access the Web. Forty-five prominent e-commerce players and pioneers of digital marketing will spearhead two conferences featuring 45 seminars dedicated to digital & mobile marketing, e-commerce & m-commerce, e-payment & m-payment, and fulfilment & delivery in Asia at E-Commerce Asia this March. France’s largest exhibition and conference organiser, Comexposium, will hold E-Commerce Asia for the first time at Asia World-Expo, Hong Kong on 27-28 March 2013. Co-located with CARTES Asia smart technology exhibition and conference, over 300 conference delegates from across Asia Pacific are expected to converge in Hong Kong for these two events to network, source suppliers and learn about industry trends.
At the Digital Marketing Technology Conference Asia 2013, the region’s digital marketers will get the chance to learn from distinguished speakers about how to seize opportunities presented by this enormous market. The themes “Data Management in the Digital Era” and “Highlights of Marketing Measurements and Analytics in 2013” will be tackled on the opening day. Vivian Lam, Corporate Brand Development Controller of Mannings, will deliver the opening keynote presentation on “Digital Marketing Best Practices: The Innovative Consumer Engagement Approach”.
Other key topics on the first day are “How the Era of ‘Big-Data’ Is Changing the Practice of Online Marketing” by Lisa Watson, Regional Segment Manager of HP; “Essential Strategies for Measuring Marketing Effectiveness Across Channels” by Angie Ko, Head of Marketing of Media Markt; and “Why eCommerce advertising should not be an after-thought in China?” by Philip Beck, Chairman & Co – founder, DianYue Technology.
On the second day, the themes are “Think Mobile First in 2013” in the morning and “Embrace the Social Capitals for Marketing” in the afternoon. Session highlights include “How Brands Are Empowering Mobile Consumer Engagement globally and locally” by Daniel Chan, Consulting Director, Digital Business & eCommerce, OgilvyOne Worldwide; and “Social Media ROI: Managing and Measuring Social Media Efforts” by Allen Qu, CEO, Netconcepts China.
Meanwhile, the E-Commerce Asia Conference 2013 offers the perfect venue for gaining valuable insights on maximizing e-commerce ROI from leading industry experts. In 2013, 34% of all e-commerce sales will come from Asia-Pacific – surpassing North America’s share for the first time. China will also overtake Japan as the online buying leader in Asia-Pacific this year. One of the newest e-commerce adopters is China Central Television (CCTV), which recently launched an online shopping mall in cooperation with 42 B2C e-commerce companies.
Opening day speakers at the E-Commerce Asia conference will talk about embracing the new era for e-commerce in Asia and developing the right e-commerce strategy. The following day, speakers will explore how to maximize e-commerce ROI and then look at practical case studies from different brand owners.
Ashok Sethi, Regional Development Director Asia Pacific, GfK, will kick off the E-Commerce Asia conference with his presentation on “the review and forecasting of e-commerce business in mature and emerging markets across Asia region”.
Among the other speakers during the two-day conference are Yong Zhang, CEO, Tmall on “Rapidly and vigorously developing E-commerce market in China”; and Daniel Chan, Head of Consulting, Digital Business & eCommerce, OgilvyOne, on “Growing eCommerce by Thinking Digital Commerce”.
