KUALA LUMPUR, 4th September 2026 – DagangHalal.com, operator of the world’s largest Halal-verified business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace, completed its participation as Halal Strategic Partner at Vitafoods Asia 2026, held from 2 to 4 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Organised by Informa Markets, Vitafoods Asia, described by the organiser as Asia’s leading nutraceutical event, brings together the full value chain. As Halal Strategic Partner, DagangHalal operated the World Halal Supermarket to showcase Halal-certified products and facilitated a Hosted Buyer Programme connecting qualified international procurement teams with relevant exhibitors across the show.
Following the opening ceremony on 2 September, DagangHalal accompanied H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Thailand, during an official walkabout. The delegation engaged more than 20 companies listed under the Malaysian exhibitor profile, comprising home-grown manufacturers and multinational companies using their Malaysian operations as a base for regional market access.
Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Punpermsak Aruni, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of NANOTEC, NSTDA, delivered supporting remarks, while Mr. Manu Leopairote, Chairman of Informa Markets Thailand, welcomed participants.
H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah said:
“Vitafoods Asia 2026 provides an important platform for Malaysian companies to demonstrate their capabilities in halal, nutraceuticals, functional foods and health and wellness solutions, while building meaningful partnerships with Thai and international businesses. My engagement with Malaysian companies at the exhibition, including DagangHalal, reflects the Embassy’s continued commitment to supporting their market expansion in Thailand.
Through MATRADE Bangkok, the Embassy of Malaysia will continue to facilitate business connections, market access and engagement with potential Thai partners, buyers and distributors. Malaysian manufacturers have strong capabilities, including OEM and ODM solutions, and are well positioned to meet Thailand’s growing demand for quality, innovative health products. Platforms such as DagangHalal.com can further strengthen these connections by providing Malaysian halal businesses with greater visibility and access to regional and international markets.
Strengthening business-to-business collaboration is particularly important as Malaysia and Thailand work towards achieving the bilateral trade target of US$30 billion by 2027. We encourage more Malaysian companies to explore Thailand not only as an important market, but also as a strategic gateway for expanding their presence across the wider region.”
The Hosted Buyer Programme targeted buyers sourcing dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods, medical foods and related health products in bulk.
To address the complex supply chain and export requirements of the nutraceutical sector, DagangHalal showcased its Halal Internal Assurance System (HIAS) as a tool for cross-border compliance and traceability. Health supplements and functional foods often rely on multi-ingredient formulations that require strict origin tracking for international market access.
The cloud-based HIAS platform assists manufacturers in centralising food-safety documentation, monitoring ingredient lifecycles, and maintaining audit readiness for export. HIAS operates as an internal enterprise compliance tool and does not replace certification by an authorised Halal certification body.
Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN at Informa Markets, said changing lifestyles were driving continued growth in the health supplement market.
“Vitafoods Asia showcases an end-to-end solution for the health and nutrition industry. It is not just an exhibition, but also a platform for knowledge sharing through conferences, workshops and opportunities to connect with industry players across the entire value chain,” she said.
According to Informa Markets’ event release, Vitafoods Asia 2026 spanned more than 20,000 square metres and was expected to bring together more than 800 exhibitors from 40 countries, over 10 international pavilions and more than 16,000 visitors. The programme included over 65 conference sessions.
Vitafoods Asia will move to the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 23 September 2027. The next edition is planned across eight halls and 35,000 square metres, with strategic collaboration from Malaysian government agencies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
The Company said the relocation creates an opportunity to connect international nutraceutical players with Malaysia’s Halal ecosystem, manufacturing capabilities and regional market access. DagangHalal intends to build on the relationships developed in Bangkok while exploring how its marketplace, hosted-buyer network and digital compliance capabilities can support the industry in Kuala Lumpur.
