Astronomy Courses (Ka’ba) State Level 2010

Training Institute of Malaysia (ILIM) in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) Sabah branch, the State Mufti’s Office and the Department of Islamic Affairs has been able to hold the State Astronomy Course (Module Ka’ba) in 26 to 28 October 2010 in Sandakan, Sabah .

The successful organization of this course is the result of strategic collaboration and smart partnership between four agencies, namely Sabah Jakim finance the entire cost of accommodation and dining of the participants and speakers as well as the secretariat for the course. While ILIM provides module and speakers.

This course aims to give exposure to the officials of various government agencies on aspects relating to the determination of the theoretical and technical direction of Ka’ba and practical skills in determining the direction of Ka’ba. A total of 39 participants involved. A total of 11 titles have been disclosed to participants, including Count azimuth Ka’ba, ADSL New Method and Traditional, Sabah Ka’ba determination procedures and issues related to the Ka’ba.

Participants were also exposed to practical skills in determining the direction of Ka’ba which is at the site of a mosque under construction in the City Sandakan.

Certificate Suspension and Penyampian session course has been completed by. SS Datuk Haji Ahmad Alawi Haji Adnan, the State Mufti. Also present were Y. Bhg. Us. Paimuzi bin Yahya, Director of ILIM and Y. Bhg. Us. Aziz bin Haji Mohamad, Director of JAKIM Sabah, Sandakan District representatives and the secretariat JHEAINS ILIM, Jakim Sabah Mufti Office and the Department of Religion.
